Scrimshaw is the title given to handwork created by whalers made from either a byproducts of harvesting marine mammals. These are virtually all usually processed away from a bones and teeth of Sperm Whales, the baleen of other whales, and a tusks of walruses. It will require a form of elaborate carvings in a form of pictures & inscription on the surface of the bone or even dentition, so highlight the engravings using the pigment, or little sculptures made from a equivalent lesson. History of Scrimshaw

Museums by owning important collections include a Hull Maritime Museum in Kingston on Hull, England; the Kendall Whaling Museum in Connecticut, and a Nantucket Whaling Museum in Massachusetts. Privately held original pieces may be worthful, & a great numerous reproductions survive in the market.
